Marvin Help

Solve your productivity challenges

Overview

Not sure which of Marvin's many features would actually help you? The Solve a problem card lets you start from the problem instead. Pick a challenge you face, like procrastination or feeling overwhelmed, and Marvin shows you the features, workflows and courses that can help, so you can turn them on right there.

Where to find it

The Solve a problem card is one of the welcome cards that appear at the top of your day when you're new to Marvin, under What would you like to do?

To bring the welcome cards back later, click the question mark icon in the sidebar (Help & Resources) and choose Getting Started. You can close the cards with the X in their top corner.

This is on the web and desktop app.

Using it

  1. Click Solve a problem.

  2. Under What challenge do you face?, pick the one that sounds most like you. Options include I struggle with procrastination, Long lists overwhelm me, I feel overwhelmed, I have trouble focusing, I struggle to prioritize, I don't know what to do first and I have a lot of projects.

  3. Marvin shows a short explanation and a row of suggestions. Scroll through them with the arrows.

The suggestions

Each suggestion is labeled Feature, Workflow, Video or Course:

  • Features: use the ON/OFF switch to turn the feature on or off right away. Click the card to read more about it.

  • Courses: click Learn More to open the course.

  • Some cards say Always available, meaning there's nothing to turn on.

Click the back arrow to choose a different challenge.

Tip: Try just one or two suggestions at a time. You can always come back and switch on more once those feel natural.
